How It Works
1. Feed filtration
The suspension to be treated enters the filter chamber under the pressure of the feed pump. The liquid passes through the filter cloth and is discharged through the drainage holes of the filter plate. The solid particles are trapped to form a filter cake. As the filtration proceeds, the thickness of the filter cake gradually increases.
2. Membrane squeezing
After the filter cake is initially formed, high-pressure fluid (compressed air or water) is injected into the cavity between the membrane and the filter plate. The membrane bulges rapidly under the high pressure, and the filter cake is squeezed for the second time. The strong squeezing force further squeezes out the remaining water in the filter cake, effectively reducing the moisture content of the filter cake and improving the solid-liquid separation effect. Compared with ordinary filter presses, membrane squeezing can reduce the moisture content of the filter cake.
3. Unloading and cleaning
After the squeezing is completed, the hydraulic system releases the clamping plate, and the automatic plate pulling device pulls the filter plates apart in sequence. The filter cake falls off under its own gravity or the auxiliary unloading device, and the unloading is completed. Afterwards, the equipment can automatically start the cleaning system (optional function) , use high-pressure water flow to fully rinse the filter cloth, remove the residual impurities on the filter cloth, and prepare for the next round of filtering operations. The entire process is precisely controlled by the PLC control system, and the parameters can be monitored and adjusted in real time through the human-machine interface.
