A detailed inspection before running the equipment is the basis. Before starting the filter press, a comprehensive "physical examination" of the equipment should be carried out. Check whether the number of filter plates is as required on the nameplate, whether the arrangement is neat and in correct order (for membrane filter press, and plate frame filter press), and whether there are any impurities among the filter plates to avoid poor sealing, uneven pressure, or even damage to the filter plates. Check whether the filter cloth is flat and smooth, wrinkle-free, and undamaged. If there is a problem with the filter cloth, it will not only affect the filtering effect, but also cause material leakage, polluting the equipment and working environment. At the same time, check whether the oil level of the hydraulic system is within the normal range, whether the oil pipe is damaged or leaking, and ensure that the hydraulic system can provide pressure normally. In addition, it is also necessary to confirm that the electrical parts are firmly connected and the buttons and instruments can work smoothly.

Real-time monitoring during operation is essential. When the filter press is running, it is necessary to pay close attention to parameter changes, such as pressures and flow. Under normal circumstances, the pressure will fluctuate within the set range. If the pressure suddenly rises or falls, it may be caused by filter cloth blockage, filter plate seal failure, or abnormal feed. The equipment should be stopped immediately for investigation. Observe the outflow of the filtrate. If the filtrate is turbid, it means that the filter cloth may be damaged or leaking, which needs to be replaced in time. At the same time, listen to the sound of the equipment running. Abnormal friction and impact sounds are often precursors to equipment failure. It is necessary to quickly judge and solve the problem.

Maintenance after shutdown is also very important. After every batch's operation, clean the residual materials on the surface of the filter plate in time to prevent the materials from drying and being difficult to clean, or even causing filter plate damages. Clean the filter cloth to remove pasted impurities and extend their service life; if the filter cloth is damaged, replace it in time. Check the sealing surface of the filter plate. If there are wear or scratches, it can be properly polished and repaired with sandpaper. If it is serious, the filter plate needs to be replaced. Add lubricating oil to each lubrication part regularly to reduce friction and wear between components.
